Damn we're heroic
Heh so today Addy and Sam and I were walking to mcdonalds and we passed this lady on the street who was like (in Japanese of course) "OMG, my poor little kodomo (kid for all you non japan peoples) has somehow gotten herself trapped in between a wall and a building, and there is a pipe in front so she can't get out. Please help and you will gain +40 xp and a sword of slaying." So we combined our gaijin powers and lifted her out over the wall and there was much rejoicing and and many "arigatou gozaimasu." So now we have some free karma points and can kick some aids pigeons or something. . . |

OMG SPACEGAME
So I've been working on spacegame a ton recently and I'm getting a lot of stuff done. Also, I've been talking to people like Jeff and Eric about design for an online score system, which I've decided is the next step for spacegame. So anyway we really need to get together next weekend and do a worklan, mainly so I can talk to everyone and get input cuz designing stuff is hard. I plan to have a bunch more stuff done by this weekend cuz im slacking off in school, so anyone who comes to the worklan gets a brand new shiny spacegame update. PS. Crazy skiing weekend!!!!
Many of you already know about this, but I thought I'd post it here for everyone else. Sometime in the not too distant future (next time there is a snowstorm in the mountains), we should go do two days skiing. We would go up to Copper on a Friday to avoid traffic and crowds, spend the night, and go to Loveland on Saturday. Everyone can probably get passes to both of these for 25 bucks each if we get cooperation from Addy (and Addy if you change your mind about not wanting to ditch a Friday you should come). Anyway, if you are interested reply to this so I know who to contact when the next snowstorm comes. |

Quit my job
Well, I quit my job at CoRA. We had been making little progress on the project for the past few months, and I finally realized that my free time is more important to me than money. Not to mention I've been incredibly stressed due to school. I realize if I stuck at it another few weeks school would be out and I could work there at my leisure without all the stress, but I've really started to hate going in to work lately. I'll have to get another job next summer if we actually manage to get a house this time, but I think I should be able to do that w/o much trouble. Also, I still make a decent amount of money off the freelance work for the guy. I think maybe I'll look into freelance coding on the internet once I'm done with his project. There are various sites like rentacoder.com that facilitate that sort of thing. |

Next semester I'm not gonna be a workaholic. I always wondered whether I could do it or not, but with a great deal of effort I managed to force myself to only sign up for 13 credits. So next semester I won't be all stressed out and it will own. w00t! |

Wow essays suck
So anyway I've had this essay that I needed to write for a few days now but I just can't seem to work on it. I don't know what it is about essays. Every other type of school assignment I can just sit down and do and after a few hours its done, but whenever I have to write an essay my mind just wanders for about 6 hours for every hour of real work I get in. Like earlier today Kevin showed me this random website with riddles and puzzles and such, so I just did that for like 2 hours. So now I only have about 3 more hours of potential essay work time before it starts seriously cutting into my sleep for skiing tomorrow. So hopefully I'll be able to pull myself together and get it done so I won't act like im dead tomorrow. Bleh, essays suck. |

Wow I am a total dumbass
Well today I just did the stupidest thing I've done in quite a while. So last night i go to bed at around midnight and I'm kinda tired. I somehow screwed up at setting my alarm so I woke up at about 10:15, and then I realized that my Principles of Programming Languages class was already half over. I figured it wasn't worth the effort to rush off to half the class, so I slept until 11. Then I started to worry. I remembered there was going to be a midterm soon after break, but I didn't know what day. So I looked on the syllabus and found out I HAD JUST SLEPT THROUGH A MIDTERM!!! Argh!!! Anyway I of course panicked for a bit and though about how retarded I was. Then I looked again at the syllabus and found the following: "The lowest midterm score will not count toward your grade, but the comprehensive final grade will always count. If you miss a midterm exam without prior notification, then that exam score will be the one that is dropped." Whew! So I'm not totally fucked, but I still feel like a total dumbass. |

Fate just totally fucked me in the ass.....
Ok wow i just got totally screwed through no real fault of my own. Heres how it went: Addy, Carlos, Stefan, and I decided to go bike to Kevin's tonight. However, Stefan had a flat, so I got my pump off my bike to pump it up. When I tried to pump up his tire the pump broke (what a piece of shit) so we had to get another crap pump from my dorm to fix his tire. So then we all go off to Kevin's biking which was nice and fun. About halfway there though I realized that I had homework due online at midnight (I had already finished it, just needed to turn it in) (it was something like 10:15 when I realized this). So we just went on to Kevin's and I figured I'd stay there a little while and then leave. So I decided to leave at 10:50, giving myself plenty of time. After a few minutes of biking though I realized I had left my gloves at Kevin's, so I had to go back and get them. Now it's 11:00 and i figure I still have plenty of time so I decide to treat myself to one of those giant slurpees at the 7-11 near Kevin's house. Then I start riding back towards CU. About 1/3 of the way to Boulder I get a flat tire, and just my luck, for the first time in about 3 months I'm without a pump. So here I am stranded in the middle of nowhere (well actually thats Lafayette itself, so about 1/3 of the way between the middle of nowhere and Boulder), and I have a bike with a flat and about 35 minutes to get to my dorm to post my homework. So I just start jogging off to Boulder, which works ok for a little while, but having just had a giant slurpee of doom I start getting death cramps from hell. Anyway I sorta walk/jog/limp my way back to CU and get there about 12:15. The online homework submision thinger still allowed me to submit it as late but the syllabus explicitly says that the prof accepts no late homework. O well maybe he will be reasonable since its only 15 minutes. Anyway that seriously sucked. Ima take a shower. |

Im updating my lj OMFWTFBBQ
Wow its been something like 3 months since I last posted. Its almost midnight and I can't get to sleep as usual so I guess I'll write something. The first few days back at school have gone pretty well. Like many of you know, my schedule is incredibly awsome, because I don't have class till noon on most days ( its even better than Stefan's last semester haha ). On a sad note, our little lunch group seems to have dissolved. Stefan has a class then and Kiran stopped getting the meal plans. It kinda sucks because that was my only real time to talk with friends in person for much of the week. Oh well, such is life. We all need to start doing more stuff on the weekends, instead of just each sitting on our computers and sulking. I would totally be up for skiing this weekend as Addy is talking about, and I hope it goes through. To completely change the subject, it looks like I could graduate in one year after this semester if I wanted to. Thats both kinda cool and kinda scary, and I'm not sure if I will do it. Then I would have to get an appartment or something and a job to afford it with. I wouldn't really be able to do much Phobic stuff until everyone else caught up. Another problem is that once I graduate I will be pretty much fucked about ever finding a girlfriend ( in the normal sense of the word, not the Brian's quote about Addy sense ). It's hard enough as is even in school ( there are something like 10 total in all of my classes, which is rediculous). It seems like women completely hate computer science for some random arcane reason. Oh well potential graduation is still well over a year away so I have plenty of time to think of my options. Also the weather right now kinda sucks. Last semester I decided to get in shape by biking up Flagstaff several times a week. It is an awsome ride, and does wonders for the leg muscles ( in addition to DDR ). But then the weather got cold so I can't really do that anymore. It sucks because when you ride up you get really hot and therefore don't want warm clothes, but coming down in 30 degree weather with less than 5 coats is hell. So so much for that for a while. When it gets warm again we should form a little group to go biking places like Flagstaff and NCAR and Gold Hill, which means everyone needs to somehow get in shape enough to do those things (This means you Addy, Stefan, Kiran), because biking places together would rock. Speaking of excercise, my legs are like 400x stronger than my arms cuz I play DDR and bike a ton but all I do w/ my arms is type, so I've started lifting. Hopefully I'll be able to get decently strong because strongness==goodness. However, the weather needs to stay snowy at the ski areas so that I can go skiing some more. We just need a bubble of warmth around Boulder and Gold Hill. Oh well. Also, Walker moved out of the dorm to live in an appartment. It's kinda nice to have a dorm all to myself, but it's also a bit lonely. I guess its better than being consolidated with Mike in any case. Anyway we all need to trade around copies of class schedules so that we can meet up during the day, because not talking with people is no fun. Wow this was quite the post. I seriously should go to bed now, which means I will stay up for a few more hours downloading and playing random games. I guess this is what I get for having a late start schedule. Computer Junkie
OMG I am a fucking addict. I've been on the computer something like 20 hours this weekend. I kept trying to do stuff w/ people but noone wanted to do anything so I was just like fuck it ill waste my life in front of the computer. For example, I asked Stefan and Addy like 4x each to play tenis but they never wanted to :(. So anyway my weekend basically sucked. We really need to all do something outdoors like a bikeride or something next weekend so I don't just rot my brain playing computer games. |

Where the fuck is Addy?
Um, so ya. Its 5:00 am in the morning and Addy is nowhere to be seen. He was supposed to come pick me up at 3:45 so we could go climb Longs Peak. So.... this really sucks... Addy did you like forget I was coming or something? Maybe you forgot your keycard and couldn't get in? If so you could have tried a teeny bit harder to contact me, like yelling up to my window or something. Anway damn it all to hell. If I'm really lucky maybe you are just really fucking late. If you aren't here in another 30 minutes or so I'm going back to bed. |

Night Biking Rocks
So last night Stefan and Addy and I biked around CU and through random dark places that were uber. Then Addy decided to be a wuss and left. After that, Stefan and I biked up to NCAR which was awsome. It turns out I'm actually in semi-decent shape because I wasn't even breathing hard biking up the hill. Riding down the hill from NCAR is one of the most fun things to do ever so it totally kicked ass as expected. I was only going 33 at the bottom though because it's kinda scary riding down that at night. Then began our futile search for food. First, we went to my house, and I tried to get food without waking up my parents. That was a total failure because they wake up if you breathe too loudly. But we didn't have any good food anyway. I let Stefan borrow Monkey Ball though so the trip wasn't a total waste. Then we headed back to CU and tried to get food at the Emporium, but it closed like 10 minutes before we got there. Same was true with Lickety Split. Then we were all gonna go to Taco Bell (all now including Brian and Jeff and Andrew) and have Brian get us free food. Stefan and I were going to take our bikes and the other people would take Andrew's car. But then Brian yelled something incomprehensible about not wanting to spend money, even though we were theoretically going to get stuff for free, so it sorta broke down. The end. |

Sleep is good mmmkay
Wow I really shouldn't stay up until 3 am when i've got a class at 8. Especially since I had lots of homework due in it so I got up at 5:30 to do said homework. So anyway I'm incredibly tired right now even though I just had an hour long nap. Hopefully I will be able to survive through 1 more class today. |
